Huraa - Island

Kaafu Atoll is an administrative part of the Maldives. It consists of Kaashidhoo Island, Gahaafaru Atoll Male Atoll (which includes the North Male Atoll and South Male Atoll). Kaafu Atoll also includes a number of uninhabited islands.

The island Huraa is one of the inhabited islands of Kaafu Atoll and is located between the resorts of Club Med and the Four Seasons. It is only a 25 minute speed boat ride from the airport, or a relaxing one hour by ferry from the capital Malé.

The stunning uninhabited mangrove on Bodu Huraa Island is one of the most popular sights to see here. It’s a larger compared to others in the Maldives, but that simply means that there are more things to do, more areas to explore and more island-hopping to do.

With its unique wildlife, exotic flora and fauna, and array of fishing industry here, you can expect to have the wow-factor of an island but with more facilities than the smaller islands.

It also has a large coconut plantation and is relatively sparsely populated.

Huraa is also known as one of the world's best surfing spots.
